The short version

Black and white printing on 70 GSM costs ₹0.50 per side at 1,000+ pages printed front and back, rising to ₹2.00 per side for very small jobs. Colour is ₹1.50 per side on 80 GSM from 500 colour pages, or ₹2.50–₹3.00 per side on 100 GSM Premium from 200 pages. Binding is ₹30–₹50 for spiral, ₹50–₹150 for perfect glue binding and ₹250–₹300 for hard case binding, per book. Send a ready-to-print PDF on WhatsApp to 9820169619, get the rate in writing, pay 40–80% advance, and the job is printed in 1–3 working days (about a week for perfect and hard binding) and couriered anywhere in India. What is BulkPrintouts.com?

A bulk printing, binding and document scanning facility in Borivali West, Mumbai, working since 2015. We print notes, documents, books, manuals and coaching material at volume on 600 DPI laser machines, bind them in our own bindery, and courier them anywhere in India. We are the people running the machines, not a booking agent passing your job to someone else.

How do I place an order?

Send your ready-to-print PDF files on WhatsApp to 9820169619 or by email to bulkprintouts@gmail.com. Tell us black and white or colour, single side or front-back, the binding you want, how many copies and the delivery pincode. We open the files, count the pages, check the colour coverage and send a clear quotation before anything is printed.

Which file format do you accept?

Ready-to-print PDF only, with printing not restricted inside the file. PDF keeps fonts, margins, page numbers and layout exactly as you designed them. Word files, PowerPoint and images shift when they move between machines, so they must be exported to PDF first.

My files are too large for WhatsApp. What do I do?

Share a Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer link instead, and make sure the link is open to anyone with the link. We handle 5 to 10 GB of customer files on a normal day, so size is not a problem at our end.

Can some pages be colour and the rest black and white?

Yes, and this is how you should do it. Send the colour pages as one PDF and the black and white pages as another. Each set is then charged on its own rate, which is far cheaper than running the whole document through the colour machine. Our free colour-page separator tool splits a mixed PDF for you inside your own browser, so you do not have to hunt for the colour pages by hand.

Can I see a proof before the full run is printed?

For book work and large runs, yes. Ask for a sample copy and we will print one, share photographs, or keep it aside for you to collect. It is the cheapest possible insurance on a job of a few hundred copies.

Can I make changes after placing the order?

Tell us as early as possible, preferably by phone call. Once the advance is received the order is considered confirmed and we generally begin processing immediately, so a change after that point may mean paying for the portion already produced.

Do you print A3 and A5, or only A4?

A4, A3 and A5 are all printed. A4 is the standard for notes, books and reports, and is what the published rates refer to. A3 and A5 are quoted per job.

Pricing

The band is decided by the number of black and white pages in the job. Ordering a full semester in one go instead of chapter by chapter is usually the single biggest saving available to a student.

What is the cost per page for black and white printing?

On 70 GSM printed front and back: ₹0.50 per side for 1,000 pages or more, ₹0.70 for 500 to 999, ₹0.80 for 100 to 499, ₹1.25 for 21 to 99 and ₹2.00 for 20 or fewer. Printed single side: ₹0.85 per sheet at 1,000 or more, ₹0.98 below 1,000, ₹1.50 for 21 to 99 and ₹2.00 for 20 or fewer. Pages that are mostly grayscale diagrams are ₹0.60 per side at the top band.

Is there a minimum number of pages in a file?

Yes. A single PDF must have at least 20 pages to qualify for the bulk rates, however large your overall order is. Files under 20 pages are charged ₹1.00 per side. The fix is to merge short files into one PDF before sending, which our free merge tool does in your browser at no cost.

Are you cheaper than a local xerox shop?

For bulk work, clearly yes. A 1,000-page front-back job costs about ₹500 with us, against roughly ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 at a photocopy shop and ₹1,500 to ₹3,000 printing at home once ink and paper are counted, before the cost of the printer itself. For five pages in a hurry, the shop next door will beat us on convenience and we will say so.

Do you give extra discounts if I bargain?

No. The quoted price is already the best rate, and there is no padding in it to negotiate away. What genuinely reduces your bill is ordering in one larger batch to reach a better quantity band, printing front-back instead of single side, and separating colour pages from black and white pages.

Is GST charged on top?

Tell us at the time of quotation whether you need a GST invoice, and the quotation will be prepared accordingly so there is no surprise at the end. An invoice is provided on request.

Do you charge for stapling?

Up to 50 staples across the order are free. Above 50, all staples on that order are charged at ₹1.00 per pin.

Paper & print quality

This one distinction causes most of the confusion in printing quotes. When you tell us a page count, tell us whether you mean sides or sheets.

What paper do you print on?

Imported A4 paper in three weights. 70 GSM is the standard for notes and bulk documents. 80 GSM is crisper with no show-through and is the minimum for colour work. 100 GSM Premium feels close to light card and is used for presentation-grade colour. Black and white on 80 GSM is ₹0.80 per side and on 100 GSM is ₹1.35 per side.

Is the quality compromised at these low rates?

No. Every order runs on laser book printing machines at 600 DPI with powder toner, which is fused into the paper and is therefore waterproof and smudge-proof. Inkjet is never used. The saving comes from printing at volume, not from cheaper machines, toner or paper.

Can you print pages with a full background or white text on black?

Not on the black and white machines. Pages with a full background fill, or reverse matter meaning white text on a dark background, are not supported — they consume enormous amounts of toner and the result is unreliable. Full-background colour work runs separately on the HD machine and is quoted on its own.

What is your daily capacity?

More than 80,000 pages a day. Large institutional orders are planned rather than squeezed in, so tell us your deadline when you send the files and we will confirm whether it is realistic before taking the advance.

Colour printing

At 500 pages or more on 100 GSM Premium front-back the rate drops to ₹2.50 per side and includes one free spiral per 500 pages plus free standard courier anywhere in India.

What does colour printing cost per page?

On 80 GSM printed front and back, from 500 colour pages: ₹1.50 per side for text files, ₹1.75 for text with a little graphics and ₹2.00 for pages up to 20 percent colour coverage. Single side on 80 GSM is ₹2.50 per sheet for text. Below 500 colour pages the job moves to 100 GSM Premium, which starts at 200 pages from ₹3.00 per side.

What if I only need a few colour pages?

They go on 100 GSM Premium. Small batches are accepted at ₹4.50 per page for 51 to 199, ₹6.00 for 11 to 50 and ₹8.00 for 1 to 10. From 200 pages the rate is ₹3.00 per side, and above 500 pages front-back it drops to ₹2.50 per side with free spiral and free standard courier.

Does the 500-page colour minimum count my whole document?

No, it counts colour pages only. A 1,000-page file containing 300 colour pages has a colour batch of 300, which is under the minimum, so those pages price on 100 GSM Premium while the black and white pages are counted and priced on their own band.

Why do you need white-background files for colour?

Because heavy background fills flood the page with toner, warp the paper and cost several times the published rate to produce. Colour rates apply to files on a white background. Anything heavier is quoted separately after we look at the file.

Do you still print colour on 70 GSM?

No, that has been discontinued. 80 GSM is now the minimum paper for colour work, because thinner paper lets colour show through from the other side and the result was not worth the few paise saved.

Binding

Perfect and hard binding take a maximum of 250 sheets per volume; thicker books are split into volumes and numbered.

What binding options are available?

Spiral binding, centre pinning, perfect glue binding with a 300 GSM laminated cover, hard case binding on rigid board, and plain loose sheets. Wire-O and saddle stitch are not offered — if you have been quoted those elsewhere, spiral or centre pinning is the equivalent here.

What does binding cost?

Spiral is priced by thickness only, not quantity: ₹30 up to 50 sheets, ₹40 for 51 to 200 sheets and ₹50 for 201 to 275 sheets. Centre pinning is ₹50 per book up to 50 books, ₹40 for 51 to 100, ₹35 for 101 to 999 and ₹30 at 1,000 or more. Perfect binding is ₹150 per book for 1 to 10 copies, ₹100 for 11 to 49 and ₹50 for 50 or more. Hard case binding is ₹300, ₹275 and ₹250 across the same bands.

Which binding should I choose?

Spiral for notes and manuals you need to lie flat while you work. Centre pinning for thin booklets under 80 pages. Perfect binding when it should look like a paperback on a shelf. Hard case binding for thesis submissions, library copies and anything meant to survive years of handling.

Is there a minimum for binding?

No. Binding on its own has no minimum at all — we will bind a single copy. The 5-copy minimum applies only to printing multiple copies of the same book at bulk book printing rates.

How thick can one bound book be?

Spiral takes up to 275 sheets. Perfect and hard binding take up to 250 sheets per volume. Beyond that the book is split into volumes, which is standard practice for large manuals and multi-part theses.

Books & thesis

What is the minimum order for book printing?

Five copies of the same title. Below that the job is priced as ordinary document printing plus binding, which usually works out fine for one or two copies anyway.

Do you print school and college textbooks?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We have been producing school books and textbooks for over ten years for prominent schools in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mysore, Gulbarga and Himachal Pradesh, along with coaching modules, test series and question papers.

How long does a book order take?

Printing itself is 1 to 3 working days. Spiral bound books ship in that window. Perfect binding and hard case binding take about a week, because the sheets have to be printed, collated, glued or cased, pressed, trimmed and finished, and each stage needs its own drying or setting time.

Do you do thesis binding?

Yes. Thesis binding is ₹200 per copy including golden embossing, with a minimum of 5 copies, and printing is charged separately at the applicable page rate.

Will you print a book I want to sell?

Yes, we print for authors, publishers and institutes regularly. Send the interior PDF and the cover PDF separately and mention the trim size, binding and quantity. Copyright and permissions for the content remain your responsibility.

Scanning & photocopy

What does document scanning cost?

Loose paper is ₹8 per page for 1 to 20, ₹5 for 21 to 50, ₹4 for 51 to 100, ₹2 for 101 to 999, ₹1 for 1,000 or more, ₹0.80 above 5,000 and ₹0.70 above 10,000. Bound books are ₹5 per page for 50 to 100, ₹2.50 for 101 to 999 and ₹1.50 above 1,000. OCR text recognition adds ₹1 per page.

What quality is the scan and what do I get back?

Scanning runs at 96 to 600 DPI on a dual duplex ADF at up to 100 pages per minute, delivered as PDF or JPG. Published rates are for A4 originals in good condition; worn, torn or oversized papers are quoted separately after we see them.

Do you do bulk photocopying as well?

Yes. For large quantities, printing directly from your PDF is usually sharper and no more expensive than copying from a hard copy, so send the file if you have it.

Delivery

Tell us your deadline before paying the advance. If it cannot be met we will say so rather than take the order and apologise later.

Do you deliver across India?

Yes, to almost every location in India through courier partners, with DTDC handling the pan-India work. Tracking details are shared after dispatch.

What does courier cost?

₹50 per kg within Mumbai and Thane, and ₹120 for the first kg plus ₹70 per additional kg for the rest of India. Standard courier is free anywhere in India on 100 GSM Premium colour orders of 500 pages or more printed front-back. Self pickup from Borivali West is free.

Can I get it the same day in Mumbai?

For Mumbai and Thane, yes, once the job is ready — through WeFast or Porter at the delivery partner's own charge. We add nothing on top of what they charge.

Can I collect the order myself?

Yes, and it is free. Our office is at Ved Chawl, 261/3, Swami Vivekanand Road, opposite Scale, near Raymond Showroom, Datta Park, Borivali West, Mumbai 400092. Pickup customers can pay the balance when collecting.

Payment

Do you offer cash on delivery?

No. Every print job is custom-made and cannot be resold to anyone else, so printing starts only after the advance is received and courier orders are dispatched only after the full balance is paid.

How much advance do you take?

40 to 80 percent of the order value, depending on the nature and scale of the work, by UPI or bank transfer. Pickup customers may pay the balance when collecting. For courier orders we share photos of the finished job, you approve them, the balance is cleared, and then it is dispatched.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

If the job has not yet started, you get a 100 percent refund with no deductions. If it has already started, we stop it on request and charge only for the portion completed up to that point. If special or non-returnable material was already purchased for your order, that material is charged and you may collect it.

What happens if the print comes out wrong?

If the fault is ours, we reprint it. Our liability is limited to the value of the goods and services supplied for that specific order, and does not extend to indirect losses such as delays, rework costs, loss of business or penalties. Checking the PDF carefully and asking for a sample on large runs prevents almost every dispute before it starts.

Files & privacy

Are my documents kept private?

Yes. Question papers, case files, manuscripts and internal company material are handled confidentially. Files are used strictly for printing and the basic checks around it.

Do you store my files after the job?

No. All files are deleted immediately once the job is completed and the accounting formalities are done. We keep no archives, no backups and no copies, and we cannot accept requests to store or preserve data — with 5 to 10 GB passing through daily there is simply nowhere to put it. Keep your own copy of anything you may want reprinted later.

Are the free PDF tools on your site safe?

Yes. Every tool runs entirely inside your own browser. There is no backend, no upload and no server copy. You can switch your internet off and the tools still work, which is the simplest proof that nothing ever leaves your device.

Which documents will you not print?

Government and official documents such as educational certificates, mark sheets and identification documents — even when the request comes from an institution itself. Those must be printed only by their authorised agencies. Customers are responsible for not submitting restricted, confidential or illegal material.

Printing words, explained

Page vs sheet: A page is one printed side. A sheet is one piece of paper and carries two pages when printed front and back, so 1,000 pages front-back uses 500 sheets.
GSM: Grams per square metre — the weight of the paper. 70 GSM is standard for notes, 80 GSM is crisper with no show-through, and 100 GSM Premium feels close to card.
Duplex or front-back printing: Printing both sides of the sheet automatically. It halves the paper and the courier weight and reaches the cheaper quantity bands faster.
Colour coverage: How much of a page is covered in colour. Headings and small diagrams stay under 20 percent; photographs and full-page backgrounds go above it and are quoted separately.
Powder toner: Laser machines fuse powder toner into the paper, so text is waterproof and does not smudge, unlike liquid inkjet ink.
Reverse matter: White text printed on a dark or black fill. It uses very large amounts of toner and is not supported on the black and white machines.
Collation: Putting the printed sheets into the correct order and set before binding — where most cheap print jobs quietly go wrong.
