Book Printing & Binding in India From ₹0.50 a side — five copies or ten thousand, with the price published before you ask

Black-and-white printing is ₹0.50 per printed side on 70 GSM, ₹0.80 on 80 GSM and ₹1.35 on 100 GSM, all from 1,000 printed sides in the order. Colour is ₹1.50 per side on 80 GSM front-and-back from 500 colour pages, and ₹2.50 on 100 GSM Premium from 500 pages front-and-back. Binding is extra per book: spiral ₹30–₹50, perfect binding ₹150 down to ₹50 by quantity, hard binding ₹300 down to ₹250.

Yes — orders start at five books. Below that the setup and handling cost more than the printing, so five copies is where the price still makes sense for you.

Two separate thresholds affect the rate rather than the order: the ₹0.50 black-and-white rate applies from 1,000 printed sides in an order, and the cheapest colour rates from 500 colour pages.

Five books. That covers an author's proof run, a sample batch for an institute to approve before a full order, or a set of replacement copies. Above five there is no upper limit and no setup charge, so the fiftieth copy costs the same as the fifth.

It depends on the binding. Printing and spiral binding take 1 to 3 working days. Perfect binding and hard binding take about a week, because the glue has to cure and the cases have to be made and pressed — that step cannot be rushed without the book failing later. After dispatch, delivery is 1 to 3 working days in Mumbai and Thane, 2 to 4 elsewhere in Maharashtra, and 3 to 7 to most Indian cities, stretching to 9 for remote pincodes. Urgent work is accepted at extra cost when we have the capacity — mention your deadline in the first message so we can tell you honestly before you commit.

A 50% advance starts the job. When printing and binding are finished we photograph the books and send you the pictures. Once you are satisfied, the balance is due and the order is dispatched. Payment is by UPI or bank transfer, and an invoice is provided on request.

Spiral (₹30–₹50 per book by thickness), perfect or glue binding (₹150 for 1–10 copies, ₹100 for 11–49, ₹50 for 50 and above) and hard or case binding (₹300, ₹275 and ₹250 across the same bands). Centre pinning is available for thin booklets.

Hard binding, in almost every Indian university, because it survives years of library handling. We bind thesis copies to university format with gold foil embossing at ₹200 a copy from a minimum of five copies, with printing charged separately at the black-and-white rates above.

Check your department's handbook for the required cover colour and the direction of the spine text, and leave a 20 mm inner margin rather than 10 mm, since the case takes a few millimetres at the spine.

Yes, and it is what most customers choose. The interior prints at the black-and-white rate while the cover prints in full colour on 300 GSM laminated card. The book looks professional on a shelf at a fraction of the cost of printing every page in colour. Cover printing is quoted with your order because the price depends on size, finish and binding type.

Yes. Text pages print in black and white and only the diagram, chart or photograph pages print in colour. Use our free colour page separator to split the file first, so you pay colour rates only on the pages that genuinely need them. On a mixed book this commonly halves the bill.

70 GSM white as standard for black-and-white interiors, with 80 GSM and 100 GSM available. Colour prints on 80 GSM or 100 GSM Premium, which hold colour without it showing through on a double-sided page. Perfect-binding covers use 300 GSM card with gloss or matte lamination; hard binding uses rigid board.

A4 (297 × 210 mm) for textbooks, modules, manuals and thesis work, and A5 or novel size (210 × 148 mm) for novels, storybooks and compact guides. Custom sizes may be possible — confirm before you finalise the layout, not after.

A print-ready PDF, with printing not password-restricted, at least 10 mm margins (20 mm on the binding edge), embedded fonts and images at 150 to 300 DPI. Word files are accepted but PDF is the only format that guarantees the printed page matches what you saw on screen.

Yes, to every PIN code in India through DTDC. Courier is ₹50 per kg in Mumbai and Thane, and ₹120 for the first kilogram plus ₹70 for each additional kilogram elsewhere. Consignments above roughly 20 kg are quoted at the courier's actual freight, which usually works out cheaper than the per-kg table.

About 200 sheets of 70 GSM A4 weigh a kilogram, so a 200-page duplex book is roughly half a kilo before binding. Hard covers add noticeably more than spiral. The exact weight is confirmed in your quote before you pay.

Most likely you were quoted for offset printing, which carries a large fixed setup cost that has to be spread across the run. We print digitally, so there is no plate or make-ready charge and the hundredth copy costs the same as the first. Below roughly a thousand copies that is decisively cheaper. Above it, offset starts to win — and if that is your situation we will say so.

For text, diagrams and standard book work, yes — we print on industrial laser machines at 600 DPI with powder toner, which is waterproof and does not smudge. Offset still has the edge on very large photographic runs and on special inks. For notes, textbooks, novels, manuals and thesis work, the difference is not one your reader will notice.

Because you approve photographs of the finished books before dispatch, print or binding errors are almost always caught before anything ships; what remains is transit damage, which is why orders are packed to survive courier handling.
