How thick one bound book can be. Perfect and hard case binding take a maximum of 250 sheets, which is 500 pages printed front and back. A thicker book is split into volumes and each volume is bound separately. One spiral holds a maximum of 275 sheets. Centre pinning is for books under 80 pages. The calculator splits the book and counts the bindings for you.
Minimum 5 books on every binding type. The Colour 100 GSM Premium rate is for files with a white background. Full Colour on 100, 130 and 170 GSM is full colour printing, priced per side whatever is on the page.
Where the price comes from
- The band counts the whole runA 60 page book in 20 copies is 1,200 printed sides, which reaches a cheaper band. The same books ordered in four separate batches would not.
- Front and back halves your sheetsTwo pages on one sheet cuts paper, courier weight and binding thickness at once.
- Binding is priced per bound volumeRates fall as the number of books rises, and thick books split into volumes that are each bound separately.
- Courier goes by weightRoughly 198 sheets of A4 70 GSM weigh a kilo. Heavier paper means fewer sheets per kilo. A5 sheets weigh about half as much.

Delivery time and payment terms
Perfect Binding and Hard Binding take a minimum of 7 working days. Both involve many separate processes — printing, gathering, gluing or case making, pressing, trimming and finishing — and each one has to be finished before the next can start. Spiral binding and centre pinning are much quicker. Please allow for this when you plan a deadline.
Payment terms: 50% advance required. Once the job is done we will share pics of the material, at that time rest payment is required, after which we will dispatch.
